California Constitutional Right to Privacy

CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION
ARTICLE 1 DECLARATION OF RIGHTS


SECTION 1. All people are by nature free and independent and have
inalienable rights. Among these are enjoying and defending life and
liberty, acquiring, possessing, and protecting property, and pursuing
and obtaining safety, happiness, and privacy.

  1. There must be a big distinction to make for such thing as a cell phone, whether it is company bought, or a personal cell phone (not paid for by the company). Correct? I would think that the company should only have the right to go through a company phone, given that it belongs to the company, it is their privacy to ensure as well because it is the companies property?
